Product Engineer - II (iOS / macOS)


OSlash is looking to build a brand new team that will build fantastic Apple-native experiences that will bring OSlash to all of Apple’s platforms. You will be bringing at least 1 - 4 years of experience as an iOS / macOS engineer, with hands-on experience building wonderfully crafted and high-performance apps. You will also help build and grow the Apple-tech team at OSlash.

What we are looking for:

  1. iOS / macOS engineer with a minimum of 1 to 4 years of hands-on and real-world production experience, shipping apps.
  2. High proficiency in at least 1 of these technologies –
  3. Swift and SwiftUI.
  4. Catalyst.
  5. Flutter.
  6. React Native / NativeBase.
  7. Hands-on experience in Objective-C is very valuable.
  8. Hands-on experience writing unit and integration tests.
  9. Hands-on experience building Search experiences.
  10. Hands-on experience shipping builds to the App Store using automated CI/CD setups.
  11. Affinity for writing quality documentation.
  12. Skills in time management and multi-tasking.

Our stack:

We're 100% serverless!

We welcome using any programming language or framework if it solves the problem in the most optimal way. The team, combined, already holds experience in writing JavaScript/Node.js, React Native, Python, Scala, Java, Ruby, C & Go.

  1. Node.js & TypeScript for the backend, along with AWS AppSync and DynamoDB.
  2. React & TypeScript for the frontend.
  3. AWS for our entire infrastructure.
  4. Serverless to deploy everything as lambdas.
  5. Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code.
  6. GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
  7. Sentry, Lumigo & Checkly for error analytics and monitoring.
  8. Linear for issue tracking and project management (not Jira, so yay).

Problems you will be solving

  1. How to build great UX-driven and Apple HIG-compliant experiences.
  2. How to hire other great iOS / macOS engineers.
  3. How to keep track of new features and API changes in every iOS / iPadOS / macOS / watchOS release and quickly target them.
  4. How to identify, debug and ship fixes for production issues.
