Search Engineer - III


OSlash is the fastest way to find links and information within a workplace. Using OSlash, you can access links you use on a daily basis in a single click and find information from all your applications such as Google Drive, Slack, Notion, Jira and etc… all in one place.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience proving reliability engineering for distributed apps and technologies - Elasticsearch, Solr, OpenSearch
  • Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.
  • Have a passion for automation by creating tools using Python, Java, or other JVM languages
  • Strong expertise in solving complex production issues
  • Should be adept at prioritising multiple issues in a high-pressure environment
  • Should be able to understand complex architectures and be comfortable working with different teams
  • Ability to conduct performance analysis and fix large-scale distributed systems
  • Should be highly proactive with a keen focus on improving uptime availability of our mission-critical services
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while continuously evaluating emerging technologies
  • The position requires solid knowledge of secure coding practices and experience with the open source technologies

We welcome using any programming language or framework if it solves the problem in the most optimal way. The team, combined, already holds experience in writing JavaScript/Node.js, React Native, Python, Scala, Java, Ruby, C & Go.

  • Java for the backend, along with DynamoDB and OpenSearch
  • React & TypeScript for the frontend.
  • AWS for our entire infrastructure.
  • Serverless to deploy everything as lambdas and docker
  • Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code.
  • GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
  • Sentry, Lumigo & Checkly for error analytics and monitoring.
  • Linear for issue tracking and project management (not Jira, so yay).
